It's nearly over. Last term now. 5 weeks left of placement, then 1 week of Uni. Also one of the weeks of placement won't be teaching, as the kids have internal exams on the last week that I'm there. Well I did no work over the Easter holidays there, I just relaxed as much as I could. I also didn't even lesson plan tonight. Have to do Romeo and Juliet tomorrow with my Year 10s, but I'm going to plan in my frees.
I wrote more of In the House of Lilith over the holidays which was nice. It's all utter poop, but best to just get through it no matter how bad I feel about it. I think the days of actually liking my work are totally over. I used to actually think things were half decent when I was younger, now I no longer have that blindness!
I also have a small job to go to now. i may go crazy but I figure it's only 6 weeks left of school and Uni so I should be able to manage. The job is cleaning offices, so no one bothers me and I can listen to my ipod as I work. Which is great. Also I go there after work at Ulidia and work til 6.15 Monday to Friday, which means I have evenings and weekends free for lesson planning and marking.
Its hard work too, get out of breath! So I'm getting paid for burning calories. Can't complain. Put on 4 pounds over Easter, not TOO bad considering I ate a lot of crisps and chocolate.
Mum's home from Florida, and she totally spoiled me- got cool purple and black converse, a lovely long skirt, pajamas and thigh high tights :D I may also get a bag if there's one left over after the others choose :D
I had a nice holiday. I had my little sister down to stay over for the first time, and it was great. Also I got to go see a friend I haven't seen in a while, which was lovely. Further more I found lots of new, wonderful music by Emilie Autumn (and poetry recited!) Its all Victorian inspired and she's totally steampunk, and an amazing violinist. She's convinced me to actually get some lessons when school is over and finish my grades :) I'll never be that good, but practice makes perfect. I envy all these beautiful, talented artists who started their lessons at like 4. I was 8 and never all that good...or beautiful!
Well, gonna head off to bed. I hope I'll post again soon. (I've been posting privately to spare you guys a lot of nonsense lately)
