Hello again!
So my apologies for my extended absence. The past month has been spent doing as much hanging out with my friends as humanly possible in anticipation of my move to Santa Maria, California.
The move went well; I avoided most of the harsh weather problems though I did see rain in Kansas/Colorado, snow in the Colorado Rockies, and blistering sun through Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. I made it out here in four days by myself, but listened to Harry Potter for most of it (causing a huge upsurge in desire for Remus/Sirius again) so it went pretty well.
Since I've been here I've caught up with old friends, met new friends, and basically spent the last week doing every outdoor activity I possibly could.
That novelty has worn off a little, as yesterday I bought a Playstation 3 with my final check from working in Cleveland and have been playing Little Big Planet non-stop since.
Work out here has had its ups and downs. The people are mostly cool, but the same problems which I overlooked last year have already started frustrating me this year. The ATD really cannot draft to save his life, the result being 3 errors in building last week alone, causing the new TD to have small brain aneurysms. He's a nice guy, but SUPER up-tight.
Already I'm missing the friendly laid-back atmosphere of the Cleveland scene shop and it's really disappointing me. Especially because I get to endure a year of this bull. So the only things going for me right now are the weather, the location, and some of the people.
Speaking of some of the people, I'm sharing a condo with a couple who are both summer interns and they are the brightest part of my days so far. They're my age, both laid-back and cool about cleaning and living, and best of all, are gamers. We've spent a couple nights so far playing board and card games for hours together. I'm really going to miss them when the summer ends.
In my little spare time after work during the week, I've taken to watching Leverage and REALLY like it. I've only just started season 2, but I'm hooked. I like everyone's character, but Timothy Hutton and Christian Kane best. Gotta love the Mastermind, because really, I wish I could be like that... and Christian as the southern muscle with long brown hair? Could you press my buttons a little harder? Plus, all that combined with a heist/con plot. It's like it was meant to be my favorite show. Must start on the fanfiction and images ASAP.
Well, that's been life. I'm planning on rejoining the interwebs, especially places like charloft once I get too over-socialized, but for now it's going to be an on/off situation. Good night!
