second weekend: hurts
So, I'll be spending my second weekend in bed, coughing and hacking and playing WoW. I battled through two and a half days working with this cold (went home after lunch on Wednesday, but battled through the other days for the sake of team solidarity/work ethic) and I'm hoping that I can kick it by Monday. I've been sleeping a lot, and drinking fluids, so hopefully I'll be good for next week.
A mixed bag of news on the job -- our team leader, the one who was sick before, got let go on Monday morning. They told us that it was a while in coming, missing three days of work was the last straw, but I think all of the new hires were shook. The good(?) news is, this left an opportunity for Jeff (the guy who brought us in) and myself to split his job duties and start evaluations for a pay boost in the process. So, within 30 days I could be getting my first raise! ^_^;
I should rest. or something. I had to put my head down just between paragraphs, and my head is pounding. I hate being sick, it's a lot of pain and boring.
ps Kithaiya, my nightelf druid on Thunderhorn, just dinged 20. She has her kitty form now! ::dies::
