This is bordering on small talk...
...but I hate short steps. I wish that steps were legally standardized at 1 foot in height. It is even worse when they are also wide steps. They just feel weird walking up, and it annoys me. I don't even like them aesthetically. Is it just because of my stride? Do others of you have a problem with them, or do you prefer shorter ones? If so, are you shorter than average?
The weird thing is -- for a self-observant person like myself anyway -- is that when hiking, I hate it when people have added steps to the trail when I am going up hill. (When going downhill, steps are very helpful... and safer.) I just prefer to go uphill naturally. It feels better on my legs.
Fortunately, trail steps tend to be high steps....
