I wasn't going to write about this. I write about Real Madrid somewhere else than on LJ, the more serious stuff that is.
But... Barcelona didn't make it to the Champions League final, and it feels as if us Madridistas have escaped certain doom. Because it was a nightmare scenario, them playing the final at the Bernabéu and even more nauseating, them winning it on our pitch. Their fans disrespecting tradition and celebrating at Cibeles. That pea-brain donkey of a Gerard Piqué going on about winning the CL in Madrid giving him a 'superorgasmo'. But it's not going to happen. Dear Gerard is going to have to have his supergasmo somewhere else, though I doubt that after this elimination he will be able to get it up for a few days.
[most] Barcelona fans have a bizarre habit of sticking their unwanted opinion in your face, about how their team plays as a team and how mine has 'no soul'. I beg to differ. Even if we don't win any silverware this season, we have shown amazing resilience and fighting spirit, with a new team that naturally took time to take form. I for one am proud of my Meringues, you culés can throw dirt at us as much as you want, but it won't stick. We have a soul. We have pride. We have the spirit of juntos podemos.
And unlike last season, you, Barcelona, cannot rob us of our dignity. You robbed yourselves of some class, when you turned the sprinklers on after the match on the side of the pitch where the Inter players were celebrating. Did you really think they were bothered by that?
After all your sneers and snark on our behalf, you're going to have to watch the final on TV, just like us. Karma is a bitch, isn't it?
