hai·ku(俳句)
/ˈhīˌko͞o,ˌhīˈko͞o/
noun
1. a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
Some of my friends decided to start the 100 Haiku Project, a project of writing 1 haiku a day to make a hundred before January 1st. I haven't been posting on this blog for a while, and I really want to go back to writing, so here I am. :)
I'll be posting both in Japanese and English (translations), so if I post in both languages, sometimes the English translation might have more or less syllables than necessary. ^^;; Sorry in advance (but I'll make sure to have proper counting for the Japanese poems!).
However, there might also be days when I'll just post in Japanese or English, just because. :)
So here's to the start of the 100 Haiku Project!
