Oh, Halloween, How I lurve you!
The bulk of my Halloween celebrating took place on Friday night at Sarah's party at her apartment in A2. I always enjoy hanging out with the UM crew, simply because they were my friends from home and make me smile oodles. Anyway, like normal on Halloween, I went all out. Like normal, I was a zombie.
I decided actually to go to the party that morning so Tim went on an afternoon scavanger hunt to get supplies and then that night Kevin came over and we got ready to go together. (I got to straighten his hair, he was an emo kid. It was pretty fantastic.)
Anyway...I think my zombie this year was one of my better ones! I actually got to practice some more advanced make-up techniques and I actually made more than one person grossed out. I call that a successful costume!
I did a technique this year where it makes it look like your skin is falling off. Kind of if it was burned horribly, road rash, etc.
Here...I'll tell you how...
First you layer your make up on the area of skin
Start with Yellow
Then Green...Blue...Red...Purple
Pretty much you're getting narrower and narrower and the look your going for is raw and bruised.
Then squirt Elmer's glue on your hand and even it out with a make-up sponge. Then take a hairdryer on low heat and low blow and start to dry the glue. Once its mostly dry, but still pliable, pull at the glue so it starts to peal. Then finish drying the glue, dab on some more red make up and some fake blood for good measure, and voila!...your skin is falling off!!
Gross...I know. hehe It made Kevin and our friend/his roommate Mike really queezy when they first saw it. Mike even told me to hide my hand so he could talk to me! Oh well, at the party, all of the scantily clad sorority types were asking me what I was. My favorite guess was a dead professor, so I just went with that the rest of the night. Thank you drunk, half-dressed nurse!
Anyway, I hope Becka can find her camera, she had a good picture of Sarah seducing me. A pirate and a zombie dead professor - a match made in heaven!
Laters!
