What a Mother's Day
Today was Mother's Day and as far as Mother's Day's go today sucked!
Mom was not feeling well at all today. I was up several times during the night helping her with things so I didn't sleep well at all. Then during the morning I was doing the same. I was also frosting a cake for across the street and trying to get some housework done. I'll admit I was overtired and bordering on emotional breakdown. I did do some crying. It was like 2pm when I went over to Grandma's to enjoy a mother's day with the aunts, cousins, etc. Mom and dad both stayed home as she was in no condition to party.
Several of the Aunts went over to see her and by 5pm it was decided she should go to the hospital. I had a feeling it would come to this and dad and I even asked her yesterday if that is what she felt she had to do. So yea Dad, Chris and I went to LCMH where we basically sat in the ER for 2 hrs before she got a room. Then they ran a few blood tests, urine, test, took a few x-rays and a CT scan and by midnight they decided after talking to one of her Dr.'s that she would be transferred to Christ where he worked out of. She arrived at 1am and I in my own car shortly after. I have a less than comfortable lazy boy chair placed next to a drafty window and under the air vents. They didn't give me a pillow or blanket so I am thinking I will go ask for something.
Mom seems to be doing a little bit better in that her fever is gone and she seems a little stronger at times. I really hope that this is a temporary setback for her and doesn't leave any lasting effects.
