had to work the night of my birthday
got to perversion late; many people left early
looked forward to chatting with so many people
did not get to spend more than a moment with any of them
no phone call or card from father or brother

on the other hand
had a lovely birthday dinner with mom, uncle, cousin, & three friends of the family
i gorged on
egg drop soup with fried wonton and green onions
sweetpeas with candied peanuts
coconut & milk shrimp with two kinds of melon
slightly overcooked peanut chicken (crunchy the way i like it)
seasoned asparagus with lobster
dimsum and another type of dumpling i can't remember the name of
spinach baked with a layer of cheese

the wrapper on my chopsticks said
Welcome to Chinese Restaurant.
please try your Nice Chinese Food With Chopsticks
the traditional and typical of Chinese glorious history.
and cultural

during my 24th year (taking into account that i was age 0 before i was age 1) i plan to
finish my ba in english
pay off all of my credit cards
