Things to do within the next 2 month:
- Get these Godforsaken wisdom teeth removed soon. Seriously. For something that supposedly comes labeled as "wisdom" they're awfully stupid and painful.
- Toss some useless things out of my room. It seems to me that when are young, we live to accumulate crap until we reach a point where we actually realize we have too much crap. Either we take pride in all the neat objects we own and simply move into bigger houses to store said crap or simply say "fuck it, I don't need any of these" and toss all non-necessities out. Even sentimental keepsakes.
I will however hold onto my painting of a Cylon Centurion in a bikini for a few years. It was made by a pretty girl and it will probably be the only piece of original art I will own for a long time.
- Donate a bag load of clothes to good will. In the past 6 months I have lost approximately 40 pounds and dropped down two shirt sizes from an extra-large to a medium. I think I look good. On that note...
- Go to the doctor and get a physical. I lost 40 pounds. Without exercise. Dubya-tee-eff.
- Keeping up with the health points on this list, seriously quit smoking. I have been poisoning myself for 3 years and I have reached the point where quitting will only get exponentially tougher as I get older. I like to imagine myself a few years down the road being able to enjoy the occasional Cuban or an hour or so puffing away at my pipe but really I need to stop entirely. It's an overrated and expensive habit.
- Reconsider career paths. Since March I have applied for over 170 jobs with only 5 responses. Trying to get a decent job in this economy with only an undergraduate degree in economics is ridiculous. I am not entirely sure I even want a job in my field given that the more lucrative jobs in it are in finance, investment, and banking which from my own experience tend to be full of toolboxes.
The one thing I can honestly say will never change about myself is that the most important thing to me is not what I'm doing but who I'm doing it with. I could get my CFA designation, make over 100K in a year and live a relatively comfortable and secure life but if I have to tolerate the same, dull individuals that tend to flock towards banking I will honestly go insane. Now if only I find a firm filled with people who pun, make references to science fiction shows all the time and read comics while working as investors, I won't complain.
The list will continue later. Lists are fun.
