no internet for a few days, so...

4th day
We got up this morning and left the hotel at 10 so we could get to Kristi's parents' (Mac and Bonnie) house. When we got here, Bonnie made tacos for everyone, and then we unpacked and got ready to go to the beach. I was still pretty sick, but I was excited to go to the beach anyway. I got to swim in the ocean for the first time in my life! I took lots of pictures- there was an amazing view of the gulf. The beach was busy, but not too many people were stimming, so I swam quite a bit in the waves, and I didn't have to watch the kids. After I got tired of swimming in the cold water, we went shelling. I found a bunch of cool shells with these round holes in them, so I'm going to make them into a necklace. When we got back, I was really worn out and cold, so I took a nap- it was great. The kids woke me up in time for dinner- Mac had planned a cool dinner on these flat griddle things- hibachi style, i guess, where we get to cook our own stuff as we eat it. We had little pieces of steak, chicken, and shrimp- it was AMAZING.
I got to go to bed early with the help of some nyquil. :)

5th day
I woke up early, even with the nyquil. That's been happening a lot lately. I finally started reading angels and demons- it's so addicting!! We ate breakfast (I made an egg sandwich) and that's when things got sort of interesting... we had a sewage problem! the sewer line broke, so we couldn't take showers or use the toilets all afternoon! The guys from the county came and jon and mac worked on the sewer too. It was a cold day, so we just lounged around- I was sick, so i cuddled under a blanket with my teddy bear and read. I cleaned their house- it was kind of a mess from having the kids around, and cleaning made me feel like i wasn't imposing so much. In the afternoon, I started to feel better, so kristi, bonnie, and i went shopping at bealls. I got some gauchos! i thought they were cute. but i couldn't justify buying them in wisconsin winters, and i'm not sure they will still be so fashionable in the spring, but they are SO CUTE and SO COMFORTABLE! Mac took us to dinner at Angelo's pizza place- it's not like the one in Wausau, but it's good, nonetheless. We stopped at Walgreens on the way home so we could pick up a few things and so I could call brian and mom. The kids made a gingerbread house that mac and bonnie's friend brought over. it turned out pretty cute! I still got to go to bed early, and took more nyquil. gosh, i love that stuff!

6th day
I got up at 4, and when i couldn't go to sleep by 5, i took another shot of nyquil and got up at 8. it's kristi's birthday, today, so she was in a good mood. I finally got to take a shower, since the sewer was fixed. I sat around all morning and finished reading angels and demons, since it was still cold. It was 58 degrees, but we went to beach anyway. I didn't go in, but the kids wanted to- since it was so cold, the beach was deserted. I went shelling and found a beautiful conch shell to give to brian. i miss him so much. after the kids got out of the water, we went up and sat in the chickee bar on the beach- it was great. we came home, took showers, got dressed, and went to kristi's birthday dinner at Bucca's Italian restaurant. it was great food- especially the shrimp pasta thing. we stopped at walgreens on the way home so i could try and call brian- but he was in the basement at band practice, so his phone lost the call, and then it didn't ring anymore, even though i called him two more times. since calling from a pay phone costs 23 extra minutes on my calling card PER CALL, i wasted 69 minutes not talking to brian :(
when we got back, i set out my stuff for the morning and packed everything else in suitcase, since we're leaving at 8 for disney. i'm sitting here right now, in the living room, while the kids are eating their gingerbread house. brian just called me and explained the phone thing, but since there isn't a pay phone here, i only talked to him for a couple minutes, since roaming is like 69 cents a minute :( i'm going to go, since the kids are making a mess, kristi is frustrated, and for some reason there is water all over the kitchen floor. i'll update more soon!

7th day
we got up ridiculously early today- at 8. actually, i was up at 5, and couldn't sleep anymore. that's starting to annoy me. anyway, we got the kids dressed, and packed the rest of our stuff in the van, and headed out. by the time we got to disney, checked in to the hotel, and hauled all our stuff up here, it was 1. then we spent the entire day (read: until 11 pm) at magic kingdom. i didn't know that there are so many different parts of disney. i can't wait to go on the tower of terror- i've been wanting to go on that since i heard about it in elementary school. i LOVED the fireworks display here- there were star shaped fireworks, and everything! i can't even imagine how magical this must seem in the eyes of the children here. i got to go on a bunch of rides like space and splash mountains, the peter pan ride, the poor bear ride, the magic carpet ride, and a bunch of other ones. there was so much stuff to do today! i'm starting to miss brian A LOT. it wasn't really bad until today, when we had time to wait around, because i was thinking about him the whole time. i miss his massages and goodnight kisses. i saw a simba stuffed animal today that reminded me of him, since i call him my lion and we nuzzle like they do in the lion king. i'm definitely going to buy that animal tomorrow. i don't care if disney prices drive me bankrupt. in other HUGE news: so after the fireworks, jon and kristi wanted to go have their pictures taken with the kids in front of the castle. jon was kneeling down to take a picture of kristi, her kids, his kids, and i, when he reached into his fanny pack (hehe) and pulled out AN ENGAGEMENT RING and PROPOSED to her right there IN FRONT of THE CASTLE and ALL THE PEOPLE that were there for the fireworks.
i gasped and cried, she cried, the ring is beautiful, and the kids all knew about it before i did. ha. that's all for now, except that i hoped to post all of this tonight, until i discovered that you have to pay $9.95 for 24 hours of internet in this disney resort, so i'll just wait until later. sorry it's so late!

8th day
i slept until 8:30 all by myself last night. well, with the help of nyquil. i got up and took a bath while everyone was still sleeping, which was a very welcome moment of solitude.
we went to mgm studios today- it was AMAZING! the first thing we did was go on the twilight tower of terror- the ride i've been waiting for my whole life! it was pretty dang sweet, and so was this aerosmith rockin' rollercoaster thing. there was a lot of stuff to see, and a lot of things to learn. walt disney was such a smart man with a vision! he planned out so much of this stuff before it was even possible. i miss brian a lot. i just talked to him on the phone, and i'm sad that i have to miss our three month anniversary. then this will be his longest relationship. i love that man so much. he's amazing. anyway, back to my vacation... we were doing some pin swap thing for the kids when they asked me why i wasn't doing it, and it's super expensive, so i just told them that i couldn't do it because it was too expensive. after that, kristi gave me $300 for "spending money" since she knew i wouldn't ask for it and she knew there were a lot of things i would like to buy. that's amazing. i'm not kidding. i feel bad about it- i know i deserve it, and everything, but i'm not sure i can accept it. the woman just paid for me to come here, and now she's giving me money to buy stuff?! she's the coolest. anyway, it was another long day, and everyone is getting crabby, as their fatigue is catching up with them. i have to go to bed since we're getting up super early to go to epcot. ::yawn:: goodnight!!

9th day
we had to get up early to catch epcot's early magic hours (for the people staying in disney resorts). of course, we didn't make it on time, because it takes these kids FOREVER to do stuff, especially getting ready, but we were out the door by 8, so that's still pretty early. anyway, i wore my hair in two pigtails like mickey ears today. if there is any time in my life i can get away with that, it's now. epcot was super cool- it was sort of boring at first because the kids wanted to play these dumb video games which were a waste of our time there, since there was a TON of other stuff to see and do. we went on the #1 attraction in all of disney world- a ride called soarin'. it was amazing! you sat in these harnesses kind of like if you were going to be going hang gliding, then you were put in front of this HUGE mega screen, and it was like a simulator, except the wind in your face had scents, like ocean breeze and citrus fields, so it was multi-sensory.
the tour of worlds thing was really cool, too- we got to visit a bunch of mini-countries, and we ate a bunch of different kinds of food, and saw a bunch of different ethnic shows. everything was great except right after our chinese dinner when i blew my nose and my ear popped, making me really dizzy, then my motion sickness kicked in, then i puked, right there at the dinner table, in a bunch of soda cups. it was pretty sick. plus, chinese food doesn't taste nearly as good the second time. i got my picture taken with mary poppins and aladdin and jasmine too! it was super cool. i'm really tired, so i'm going to get going to bed, but a ton of cool stuff happened today that i'll try to remember to talk about tomorrow. good night!
