advice--what would you want to learn or talk about?

my partner and i (we live in buenos aires, argentina) are signed up to go to a national lesbian/bisexua women's conference in a few months. we weren't really sure what to expect, but thought it would be an interesting experience to say the least ;). there are workshops about a ton of subjects...when we registered online, we suggested that they also might want to add a workshop on sexuality and religion/spirituality.

well, they've just phoned us and accepted our suggestion to add that workshop! both my wife and i have experience in training and public speaking as we both worked for ministries before coming out, but this is rather a unique experience. we'll be talking about religion to a group of people who in large part are not likely religious themselves. my basic (possibly wrong) assumption is that they will mostly be women who were born into and grew up in catholic households, but likely do not belong to a church now and probably don't put much stock in religion itself, if not outright angry with it.

what kinds of things would you suggest for this workshop? i've had a few vague ideas...a history of the church's stances on sexual minorities? an overview of welcoming churches of today? a study on the bible verses that are (supposedly) relevant? a time of introspection on each woman's experience with religion and how they are at the moment? how would we bring other religions into the conversation? (we are both christian).

what other things do you think might be interesting or necessary? i really appreciate any suggestion!!
