Thank you! Luna was a bit tricky to write, so I'm glad she worked for you.

Eeee! This is absolutely wonderful. The slow building of discovery in the flashbacks, little Lucas gathering bits of information on what other people think it's okay to be and do and say but not really understanding it, eventually sticking out her stubborn chin and demonstrating the relative truth of her identity. This kind of story has the potential to be either preachy or insensitive; instead, it's very human and very Luna, heartbreaking and hopeful. And a really nice job weaving the personal story of Luna in with the greater story of the Hogwarts Resistance. I give this story a hearty fist-bump. :)

This was so cute! I loved Luna's parents, and Neville great!

This was wonderful. It was very much Luna and it certainly wouldn't have seemed out of place in the books. I loved the different reactions of the different characters - from the Cedric cameo to her father's response - but Neville's was definitely my favourite. The hurt, followed by that lovely ending. A great, great story.

Thank you! I'm glad the characters' reactions worked for you. It's a difficult thing for Neville to wrap his head around, but he had plenty of time to think things over during Luna's absence.

I loved this. Luna would totally stick to what she knew, in the face of... oh, everything. I love how her father reacts, when she explains her reasoning, and that Neville eventually squares himself with Luna's particular truth.
(I did kind of want to kick him when he reacted badly, but it was a plausible reaction to such news. At least he got there in the end.)

That's what convinced me to take the prompt in the first place. :)

As for Neville's reaction, it really came from his own issues, not Luna. With two parents in the hospital and a war on, he just wanted to be a part of a "normal" relationship. Of course, the threat of losing someone changes one's priorities.

Thanks for reading!
