Aww, sweet but sad. :( The thought of Ray being disowned by his famiy because of Fraser is so sad, but unfortunately a definite possibility... I liked seeing their happy domestic life and the love between them, and the fact that Fraser's now Ray's family. Aww. :)

Ah! Poor Ray! I hate the fact that his family disowned him but I love that Fraser takes care of him and supports as only he can.

It is awful for Ray and sadly, I don't think his family is going to come around in this instance. Thanks very much for reading and leaving a comment. I appreciate it.

My prompt! *flails*

A wonderfully-written tale! Unfortunately, it could be all-too-true as a traditional Catholic family might not be too thrilled with Ray's choice of partner, sad to say.

You've got their voices down beautifully! Fred Flintstone, and the north forty. Typical Rayisms. ;)

Whee, gotta love that dirty Mountie! ;)

Whew and yay! I'm really glad you liked it. I always get a little anxious when writing from prompts. Thank you very much for the kind, anxiety relieving words.

*sniffs* At least Ray has Fraser. A very well-written piece; both sad and sweet.

Oh, wow. This is simultaneously so sad and so sweet. I love the rhythm of speech between the two of them -- you've captured their voices well.

And I loved these lines, probably as much for the timing of the humorous note as for the lines themselves:
"I make a good living don't I Benny. I mean I keep you in a better style than you were accustomed, right," Ray asked as he flung open the door that led into the kitchen from the backyard.

Benton smiled at the familiar beginning to any number of conversations they'd had since the start of their relationship.
