“I'd tap that,” Dean says. “If he wasn't, you know, dead.”

Oh, Dean. Appropriate as ever!

I really liked this, the difference between the brothers and how they see the world (and their own sexuality). It was interesting to read and it fitted the feel of the show very well.

Thanks! (Wouldn't have it any other way, Dean.)

Wow, this is perfect, so completely dead on with both their voices. And I like that even though the story is from Sam's POV, it isn't about Sam's choices being any more right than Dean's, just that they come from fundamentally different places in their thought patterns.

Thank you! Sam's got some faults, but at least he's self-aware. Usually. I'm so glad you thought the voices were right.

Very very cool.
The case-file stuff was interesting, and the realness of their having to deal with day to day stuff - cleaning out the Impala and getting new credit cards, around the conversation and all the meanings of it.

Thanks! The day-to-day stuff is my favorite.

I like this so much! The way both of them go about living their sexuality makes a lot of sense, and I loved seeing Dean at home with pretending to be the grieving ex-boyfriend.

Oh my, I love your icon!! They're can be so sketchy it's hard to believe that anyone talks to them. (In this fic, they were lucky, obviously.)

Dean's such a ham.

Oooh, I think this is my new favorite of the fest so far.

I love the contrasting way Sam and Dean inhabit their (somewhat similar) sexualities, and that a judgment call isn't made. I love that Dean is more comfortable being the grieving ex-boyfriend than Sam expects. And I love that Dean tries, without sacrificing his way of being, to bridge the gap with Sam, because he knows that it's important to Sam. Really well done.

Hey, thank you! It wasn't hard for me to see both sides of this when I was writing, and I think Sam might too, if he stopped to think. For Dean, it's more of a mystery, but he's got good instincts.
