Title: A Kiss Before The War
Author: Alara Rogers
Fandom: Star Trek The Next Generation
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: All characters in this story are copyright Paramount Pictures.
Prompt: For lgbtfest prompt #1193: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picard/Q, Q could be any gender he chose to, or make Picard anything, for that matter. Why, then, does Picard find himself more comfortable with Q as a man, when he's never been attracted to men before?
Spoilers: All of the TNG Q episodes and Voyager's "Death Wish".
Notes: Oddly enough for a story I wrote, this *didn't* go in the direction of screwing with gender that the prompt suggested. I apologize for not having this ready by May 4th with the other one; the first one ended up twice as long as I expected.
Summary: Q is done testing humanity, and comes to congratulate Picard. He asks if Picard will miss him if he never comes back. To Picard's own surprise, the answer might actually be 'yes'. And then he ends up having, reluctantly, to explain to Q why.
