This is an Absurd Poem
Absurd is a word
Not often heard
At least not enough for me
You know what's absurd?
A flightless bird
A popular nerd
A dog that purred
A dog that purred?
Why, that's absurd!
You know what's absurd?
A voice that's slurred
A zebra that's spurred
A turtle herd
A turtle herd?
Why, that's absurd!
Absurd you say?
Well, have it your way
A sunless ray
A red-coloured Jay
A horse that won't neigh
A horse that won't neigh?
The most absurd thing all day!
Absurd you say?
Well, have it your way
A hound that won't bay
A job that won't pay
The cow won't eat hay
The cow won't eat hay?
No way!
That's so absurd!
