Tying Up Gerald
First off, the disk with the Tying Up Gerald episode of Bliss temve sent me arrived -- THANK YOU!
And I agree with her about the actress and the story. Peter Wingfield is utterly gorgeous, and the beginning is the best part). I have some serious reservations about the story -- consent anyone, communication? Either because the actress playing the wife Miree didn't know what she was doing, or the writer, or the director, I came away with some real issues with how this was presented. Gerald has a *need*, Miree apparently only has issues, and selfish ones at that. I know this is a 23 minute tv episode, and shorthand and elision are needed for the medium, but still!
Now I want to write the story where Gerald=Methos and What Comes Next. 'Cause I think Miree has No Idea what she is doing (and I really, really, really hope that Vanessa is Right There in the next room, paying attention and ready to step in if need be.)
