Happy Birthday barbana!!!!!
I read Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince on Tuesday. Needed many hankies. My oh my oh my. Now I really want 7, like, NOW :-). Ah well, I'll wait, and speculate.
I also read a book called Hohokam Bones, which had a really interesting premise, and could have been a fabulous read, but wasn't. One of the rew times I was terribly aware I was reading a book by a guy, even though the pov character was female. It even had overt gay content, and there was nothing *there* about it, and there should have been. I mean, an Hispanic youth and a de-deified storm god with the hots for each other.... but there was no spark in the writing. I was quite aggravated.
Saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Adored Johnny Depp. Loved Christopher Lee. I was very amused to realize that the gloves that Willie wears throughout the movie are the 'purple nitrile' latex/oid gloves ... and Dad wears the standard ones. Giggle.
This is the first day in 40 that it hasn't gone over 100degrees. And the Monsoon has officially arrived. Thunderstorms!
