Flailing & Planning for November, in List form
First of all -- Bright blessings and a plethora of good things in this coming dark half of the year. Happy Halloween and Blesses Samhain to all.
Writing
1. Writing challenge(s) and fic exchanges in November. Um, yes.
-- hlh_shortcuts - Fifth year participating. I have my assignment, and an idea of what I want to write, plus I even have an opening sentence or so.
-- yuletide - Also fifth year of Yuletide, and I have only the vaguest idea of what I'm going to ask or offer, but it will be fun whatever it ends up being.
--
3_ships - a threesome gift-fic exchange. First time participating, don't have assignment yet. Hopefully this will be fun & not crazy-making.
--mini_nanowrimo Fourth year, I think. I missed one or two in the middle. Committed to 100 words a day, and I am going to aim for a postable drabble as a separate thing from the rest of the committments, but I'm not going to make myself stress over it.
--NaNoWriMo *facepalm* I wasn't intending to do this this year, but I was poking about on the site and apparently hit a re-up button or something. I am absolutely not going to stress over wordcount for this, especially as I am going to do what I did last year, which is fold everything I do into one 'project' with a kind of vague connective tissue to link them.
2. The Giant and non-exhaustive List of WiPs & Possibles for November --
Fannish
--Snow and Serenity - 1/3 of last year's NaNo, originally scoped to be my HLH_Shortcut story that went way out of control. This is what I am planning to finish for the history_bigbang due in spring. Highlander crossed with Sense & Sensibility and various late Georgette Heyers.
--Hephaestos - the thing I wanted to write for the Sanctuary Big Bang. Sanctuary x Highlander x Classical Mythology
--Lavender House series. Part III is all scoped and about half finished, other parts have some shape in my head. Lord John Grey x Highlander
--Galerien - auction-fic that is really embarrasingly overdue. Partly written. Highlander x Lymond.
--Captain's Road - barely started Roads of Heaven fic, that I've had ideas for for ages.
--Etc, etc, etc. This list goes on and on. Highlander, Sanctuary, misc ideas for Yuletide NYRs.
Original
--Aztlan - another 1/3 of last year's NaNo. Lots and lots still to do for this, and it would be really nice to get some coherent pieces polished for Diana to read.
--Lady Babylon - based on the Steeleye Span song, with assorted other fun stuff mixed in. Someday this will happen.
Other things -- SCA and Sewing and misc non-writing endeavors
3. For Southern Crusades
--Finish new tent parts DONE! (and the new ground cloth is ordered and has been shipped)
--Finish cut out braies, flannel pants, and tunic
--Obtain solar charger for phone/netbook?
4. Other SCA
--Heraldic woobie-coat
--Stuff I am sure I am forgetting

--The pink & green quilt (get to longarm people, finish work when back)
--Dad shirts - Green & white, rainbow stars
