Five things make a post
1. Very interesting piece on introversion & extroversion: "There are as many introverts as extraverts, but you'd never know it by looking around. Introverts would rather be entertained by what's going on in their heads than in seeking happiness. Their big challenge is not to feel like outsiders in their own culture." Yup, this is me.

3. hlh_shortcuts is happening again this year -- Signups are here. I suspect I will sign up this year too. Eeeeeep! It always produces really good stories. tryphanstone is running it this year, and you don't have to have an LJ or a DW to participate.
4. My story for Three Space Shows and a Movie gen mini-ficathon is here: First Impressions. Written for penknife using the prompts 'First impressions' and 'Long way from home' for Sarek from Star Trek ToS (though it works for Reboot also, I think).
5. I'm ready for it to stop being Summer anytime now. Though having been in Philadelphia for a couple of days where the high was in the 90s with 90+ percent humidity, I am Quite Grateful to be back in Tucson, where the highs may still be in the 100s, but the humidity is a much nicer 30%. I very much enjoyed the couple of high 70s days in PA with mist and rain, though.
