Nail Polish, Rauschenberg, and Jesus: An Interview with Artist Paul Rusconi by Emily Waldorf at the Huffington Post.
I found this linked by way of
hooplamagnet because he's done a 'monumental' piece of Adam (I assume that it is Very Large, which would seem to be bourne out by the image in the header to the piece). He talks about how art is art because the maker says so, and uses interesting techniques and materials -- nail-polish for one -- because they give him the effect he wants and because they are neat.
I really like his attitude/approach. Serious in the 'I have stuff I want to say, and this is how I want to say it' way, but also with a sense of humor and I think joy. I would like to see more of his work.
