Five things make a post
Unexpected effects of friends full of Adam Lambert squee: I now have "So What (I am a Rock Star)" on infinite repeat in my brain (both P!nk and the AI finale versions). Occasionally varied by snippets of Adam's versions of "Mad World" and "Ring of Fire." Not that this is a bad thing :-)
In the finding nifty things department: a collection of antique glass sea creatures was discovered/unearthed at the UWisconsin at Madison museum.
Found a lovely Craftsman-style bookcase on sale yesterday, and managed to locate two more at one of their other stores.
I have been wreaking order on the house (see above re: bookcases) in anticipation of guests next month and the fact that my sister A is moving back to AZ next month as well & the parents are Clearing Out Stuff, some of which will be coming to me. I need to decide where to put the futon (am leaning toward the quiet/art/ritual room, & putting the Amazing 60s Planet-light there too).
Arrived in the mail -- a lovely card from browngirl, postcards from ickaimp and
elayna, and the dvd set of all of Star Trek TOS. I am a very happy fangirl.
