Broken Wings Stargate AU, and having Mitchells clamoring in her head. I can sympathise. Stargate is generally something I enjoy watching/reading but am not particulary fannish about. But the Mitchells have gotten into my head too, and I have a growing collection of DVDs. I just put together a set of 16 episodes that seem to me to be core context to the universe for a friend, and it occurred to me I should post the list, if only for my own records.
This list is in series order, not importance to the universe order. The episodes that are particularly important are starred.
1. [5:15 - 103] Summit --this is the very first episode with Ba'al, and he's not in much of it.
2. [5:16 - 104] Last Stand --second half of the two-part episode. More Ba'al.
*3. [6:06 - 116] Abyss--Ba'al tortures Jack by killing him and reviving him by Sarcophagus over and over and over. Ascended!Daniel appears as well.
4. [7:02 - 134] Homecoming --Ba'al and Anubis, Daniel returning from Ascension. (For Mezzanine, the previous episode Fallen [7:01 - 133] is important.)
*5. [7:03 - 135] Fragile Balance --Clone!Jack. The genesis of JD.
6. [7:21 - 153] Lost City 1 --Anubis attacks earth, Ba'al is involved.
7. [7:22 - 154] Lost City 2 --Discovery of Antarctic Chair, Battle over the ice.
8. [8:04 - 158] Zero Hour --Jack's first challenge as General. SG1 is MIA, Ba'al takes advantage.
*9. [9:01 - 175] Avalon 1 --Introduction of Cameron Mitchell, with flashbacks of Antartica and the aftermath.
*10. [9:02 - 176] Avalon 2 --Part 2. Includes a flashback of Mitchell doing physical therapy.
11. [9:03 - 177] Origin --Part 3 of the introduction of Mitchell and the Ori.
*12. [9:07 - 181] Ex Deus Machina --Corporate Ba'al and Farrow-Marshall. In Seattle. With clones.
13. [9:14 - 188] Stronghold --Ba'al and a healing device. (This one didn't get on the disk)
*14. [10:04 - 198] Insiders --Ba'al and his clones, messing with SG1.
15. [10:06 - 200] 200 --The 200th episode, wonderful on so many levels.
*16. [10:13 - 207] The Road Not Taken --Carter in an alt-universe, where Mitchell is still damaged.
