So, killabeez does fabulous vids, and made new & remastered ones for Vivid-Con.

She also does good instructions, because I was able to download, concatenate, expand the .rar, make a disk image and successfully burn a dvd that plays on the TV, following her directions.

I am putting those instructions here behind a cut so I can find them again :-).

Burning a video dvd on a Mac

1. Download the vid-file(s)

2. If there is more than one file, use Split & Concat to put them back together.

3. Expand the .rar file using SimplyRar

4. Use ffmpegX to make the disk image:
--Open ffmpegX from the applications menu
--Go to the Tools tab
--Choose img from the lower menu bar
--Click Browse and navigate to the folder with the video_ts folder.
--Choose the folder and click Go
--This takes some time, but will put a file the Mac disk Utility can burn into that folder.

5. Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility

6. Click Burn and choose the appropriate file

7. Put the empty disk in when it asks for it.

And the vids themselves are just faboo.

Yesterday I managed to wreak a certain amount of order on the house, too, in preparation for seeing the lovely mrshamill and sundry of the local fangirls on Thursday/Friday. Weeding! Discovering the other half of the living room! I am still in great need of more bookcases, but there is considerably more floor.

Still to do is the vacuuming and getting rid of the empty boxes, plus attacking the kitchen, but that should all be doable.
