In random other news, we are having a so far excellent Monsoon season, with lovely thunderstorms. The airconditioning and fans are making life Better, and there is as yet no delivery date for the Car. Also no financing arranged, though not for lack of effort. Several things yet to try, including the credit union that merged with my old credit union and has actual branches here in Tucson.
Still bummed that I won't be at Con*Strict, but I am taking a long weekend, and am determined to enjoy myself. Mayhap I will go take pictures of Aztlan and see if Thorn will talk to me. He told me his actual land-name (spirit name? something like that) is [Dove] in the Firethorn, and it makes him crazy that that's what it is. I'm not perfectly certain about the actual bird -- black dove doesn't scan properly, and it absolutely isn't raven ....
And I have Denis Balthazar (Melissa Scott's Roads of Heaven) kind of poking at the back of my brain, and Matthew McCormick in this really cool thing auberus and I are working on.
Not to mention the Sweet Charity fic I owe dm24 I need to find a summer/warm season ancient festival involving fishing.
