5 Small & not so small pleasures
I can has nifty new things for the house!
1. Spiffy new vacuum cleaner -- bright red, bagless, handle folds down, and it fits in my linen closet for storage. (I've been meaning to get a vacuum for more than a year now, so I can *finally* take that off the list)
2. Bread machine! Sunbeam, from cooking.com, as bread machines are no longer 'trendy' and thus not on the shelves of regular places like Target, or even the cooking-stuff store in the mall. I decided I needed one after the umpty-umth time of having wonderful bread at raventhourne's house, and despairing of buying bread that I liked (and wasn't full of Things My Grandmother Would Not Recognize as Food) for something resembling a reasonable price. I suspect I am going to be dragged into cooking out of economic outrage if nothing else. I was even home for the postman to deliver it to me.
3. Television of my very own. I've been borrowing my cousin's tv since I moved into my house, and she is getting her own place (along with a really cool job) in the Seattle area and will need it back. I got a really good deal on a last year's model 32" HD widescreen flat-panel. I will need to do something about getting speakers hooked up, since the sound is not great & I have a Really Loud air conditioner, but other than that it is splendiferous.
4. I have figured out how to do the clothes-rod for the costumes, the measurements for the paperback bookcases and the nightstand-stands, and have plans for making them this weekend.
5. I found my favorite pen that I had misplaced :-)
