Flail, PicSpam, Tumblr, & Recs
Sorry to all my readers for not updating my WIP recently. Unfortunately I have 2 jobs and work 6 days a week so my one day off is usually spent doing errands and laundry and cleaning. Also, since I'm so new to writing FF I'm having a hard time creating interesting arcs for each chapter. I'm so linear with my writing. I think the next one I take will be written non-linear so I can get more exercise in story telling.
This here is my fan tumblr. Feel free to add me if you like. It's really just filled with Tom Hardy & JGL right now, but I've been known randomly to indulge in Robert Downey Jr., James Franco, Zachery Levi, Nathan Fillion, Johnny Depp, etc.

This suit is so English.
Forever wet for this incarnation of JGL. METAL!
"The costume designer for Inception designed and made all of the clothing for the movie out his own tailor shop. Saito’s suits are simple in order to draw attention to the excellent construction and fit, which are the most expensive elements of a suit, as befits a wealthy Japanese businessman. His tie here is a really great fabric that’s perfectly coordinated. Ken Watanabe liked the suits he wore in this movie so much and they fit him so well that he bought all of them back from the production company."
I bought the wardrobe. It seemed neater.
Since I'm not offering up any of my work tonight, let me point you in the direction of some great fics! Be warned that some are WIP's though.
sho_no_tabi is working on a collaborative piece right now in which she takes direction for the story from reader comments on each chapter. It is entirely too fun. I recommend all her fics because they are so interesting. If you do read one though Glitch is absolutely stunning. Each fic is a fantastic stand alone story but she has a way of weaving all her fics together as a continuation that is really enjoyable.
mami_san has an origin story that is by far one of the best I've ever ready. It is nearly perfect to me. In fact any time I think of Arthur/Eames origins I can't help but go to this. It has influence my idea of the Inception verse more so than most other stories.
twilightthief also has a fantastic origin story in two parts. Black moon and White Feather are companion pieces and they weave a wonderfully angst laden world where Arthur is touch deprived and Eames is color blind. It's WIP and really needs to be updated soon (hint hint!) ETA: abandoned
shaemichelle 's most recent fic Birds is amazingly funny. Arthur never complains, until he does and it's hilarious. She also has a continuing story Reality Verse in which Eames saves Arthur from life as a teenage prostitute. The character interactions in Reality Verse are just perfect.
delires has written another origin story that is absofuckinglutely awesome. We Can Do This Until We Pass Out aka the one where Eames is a Chav and Arthur loves it is so hot and so funny and so incredibly believable. ETA: Chav!verse on AO3
Pretty much everything that eleveninches writes is pure gold. Always stuffed with humor and smut I can't really place one story above any other. I laugh, I sigh, then I fap repeatedly.
eustacia_vye28 has several super hot poly verses going on and I love all of them. However her AU verse Ghost Network in which Arthur is a serial killer and Ariadne is an FBI agent hunting him down is superb. It's a very believable AU with a whole hell of a lot Sex and Angst thrown in. The sequel Sleeper Cell is where the story goes poly with Eames. It's a very nearly complete WIP and is just enthralling and heart breaking to say the least.
linaerys is working on an AU where Arthur and Eames meet in prison. It's another WIP but it is very interesting.
sorrynotsorry 's when Arthur met Eames story Please Be Here Until the Morning is wonderful. This is the one where Arthur is a virgin and Eames is an asshole.
And a couple of my favorite fics in the Inception fandom belong to the amazing who is just positively and astoundingly talented at angst. And I am an angst whore. Broken Toy, Requiescat, Rough Trade AU, and The Sharpest Lives AU are sparkling works. And I am surprised and delighted by the current WIP of The Running Play because I've been drawn hard into a College and Football AU and I don't like either of those things. But the story is just fantastic! Be very warned there are extremely dark themes in all of them including homophobia, rape, dubcon, child abuse, and spousal abuse. But there is also the humorous works to be found in The Wingman, and The Properties of Ginger.
Really you should read all of the fics by each author listed because they are amazing.
