Baby advice from the lesbian mothers out there.
My partner and I are expecting are first baby at the end of July. We're really excited and happy. I feel like I'm going to pull my hair out just looking at all the baby stuff. We want things to be simple and easy but every time we look for baby stuff (like bottles and carriers and the like) it gets all kinds of confusing. I would like some advice on what we should get or if one thing is better than the other? Things like is a bottle warmer really needed?
The other thing is that while I'm excited to be having my first child, I wonder if I shouldn't tone down my outness. I've been living my life out, loud and proud for years. Take one look at me and you just know. But now I've got a little one I need to protect from the cruelities of the world. Would you do in my situation? Should I not live my life so loudly to protect my child or no?
