David Levithan is so amazing. I fell in love with him when I listened to the writers commentary on the Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist dvd. And gah.. that cover is so beautiful.
Also because you asked about the weekend and because I have to gush but it still feels too soon to say it out loud... something happened this weekend. A bit of backstory... when I was in seventh grade I was friends with this amazing girl. To be honest I had a bit of a crush. At end of the year she moved away and I didn't heard from her in eight years. Anyway last week she finds me on facebook and invites me to her birthday celebration.
We dance, I meet her awesome friends, all in all a good night. On the ride home she's in the front seat and I'm sitting behind her in the back. Halfway through the drive she reaches back. We spent the rest of the drive with her hand in mine, awkwardly wedged between the seat and the car door. It was the first time I've ever felt that feeling. If nothing else comes from it, I have that.
Spent today thinking about possibility and lost chances and the feeling of a thumb running against the top of my hand. It was a good weekend.
Can I just say how phenomenal your weekend sounded? The way you recounted it was like a dream, and I can't tell you how awesome your possibility sounds. Now I want to hold someone's hand in a deep and meaningful silence. (Sorta like how I desperately wanted to ask my friend to lay down and cuddle with me for a few before she left for the night, just this past Saturday.)
