I loved that image. I knew that quote from the 30 Seconds to Mars video, and it's actually what I feel all the time. And, then there are Green Day, My Chemical Romance and 30 Secs' records all around *_* quite perfect!!!
1. "Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)" by Green Day. There's just something about this song that really speaks to me. It has that right amount of sadness into it, that makes you feel like the song is talking about something real, and it has that feeling of helplessness you feel when things don't turn out in the right way and maybe you don't get what you wanted, but it's still worthwhile. It's something unpredictable but in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life.
2. "Disenchanted" by My Chemical Romance. This another quite depressing song but when I listen to it, I feel understood and comforted. I spent my high school career spit on and shoved to agree. If I'm so wrong. How can you listen all night long? Now will it matter long after I'm gone? Because you never learn a goddamned thing.
3. "Famous Last Words" by My Chemical Romance. This song is about finding in yourself the strenght to pull through anything even being on your own. It's about saying "fuck it" to the shit life throws at yourself and keep on living. Everytime I feel down, like all it's happening is bad, I listen to it, and by the time it ends, I can believe that I'm not afraid to keep on living. I'm not afraid to walk this world alone.
4. "Welcome to My Life" by Simple Plan. Every time I listen to this song, it reminds me of my best friend, she's always been there and no matter what's going wrong in my life, she's always there picking up the pieces. Also, the message of this song, it's what I felt when I was 14 and discovered it. The feelings are still there, but now I can cope and whenever I hear this song on the radio or it comes up on my MP3, it's like looking back and thinking "Alright, you're doing it." Do you wanna be somebody else? Are you sick of feeling so left out? Are you desperate to find something more? Before your life is over Are you stuck inside a world you hate? Are you sick of everyone around? With their big fake smiles and stupid lies while deep inside you're bleeding.
5. "It Ends Tonight" by The All-American Rejects. I honestly don't know why this song touched me so much. I can relate to the lyrics, but I guess it's because it has some kind of light side. A weight is lifted on this evening I give the final blow. When darkness turns to light. It ends tonight. It ends tonight.
+1. I think it's "I'll Be There for You" by The Rembrandts. My best friend was feeling down one day and she was losing hope. I made her listen to this song and told her that no matter what, I'd always be there for her because we were in this fucked up life we have together.
