hey, since we're in different time-zones, I hope I've replied to this in time. And I hope it helps!
#01. Do you consider yourself the creative "type"? Why/why not? I really do, which sounds a bit arrogant. But being artistically creative is one of the most meaningful things in my life. I've always been a drawer and a writer (although never really professionally) and I can't imagine not having these outlets. They're how I express myself, even if it's just to myself. #02. What is/are your creative outlet(s)? I write (fanfic mostly, like the rest of us :P), and I sketch. Pretty much all of my work is only for me and those really close to me. #03. a) Do you believe creativity is infinite, or does it come and go? I think creativity is a way of looking at and comprehending the world. It's difficult to get out of that mindset if you're made that way. But I think your talent at particular things can come and go, depending on how much you exercise them. Like, I'm not as good at drawing as I once was, but if I took the time to brush up on my technical skills, I still have the creativity to put those skills to good use.
b) How much time do you dedicate to your outlet(s) on a daily basis? As many hours as I can without feeling hugely guilty about neglecting real-life. Usually a couple late at night once the day is over, and I always have notebooks with me to scribble ideas. It's pretty much a constant thing. #04. What is your idea of a "creative lifestyle"? As said, i think it's a mindset. Always ready to see things from a diffrent angle or point of view and making time and space to express that. Like, if a paragraph of dialogue or a scene comes to me, I want to write that down and work it through until I make it express how it made me feel in the first place. I'm sorry that's so vague. But I guess to me, a creative lifestyle is always being ready to process and express things that touch me deeply. And that being more important to me than a lot of other 'everyday' things. #05. Are you a "starving artist"? Why/why not? Well, not in that extreme because I don't think i could handle my creativity having deadlines and budgets and stuff, so I'm steering away from getting a job that's directly artistic. Though I am unemployed at the moment, because I'm finding it difficult to find a job that doesn't totally stifle my creativity. Oh my goodness, I sound so arrogant. But I figure, life is too short to give my days to something that doesn't make me happy. My creativity is too important to compromise.
Finally... #06. What name would you like to go by in my paper? Um, Christine is fine.
Thank you, darlin'! That was helpful and I can use it in the paper I'm only just beginning to work on. :P I love a lot of what you said, and I'm a firm believer in choosing a career/job path that makes you happy. I don't know about you, but money's not the highest priority for me.
