What Would Patti LuPone Do? written by
fakeplasticsnow An amazing one shot (which is more or less an entire story downsized into a single post--it's over 10,000 words in length!) written by one of my all-time favorite authors in the
puckurt community. A story about how a freak joint blowjob leads to more than just messing around. Oh, and Patti LuPone.
I am so serious when I say that I've reread this at least ten times. This story is so memorable, what with its witty dialogue, captivating descriptions, and perfectly seasoned plot progression, along with a cast of character so true to their on-screen personalities, you have to remind yourself that no, Puck/Kurt is sadly non-canon.
But the lack of canon!Puck/Kurt is forgotten when you go and delve into this amazing fic by fakeplasticsnow, and if you want to burst out laughing, cry like a pansy, or smile fondly even if you're bittersweet and wishing you had a happily ever after, I highly suggest reading this story.
(Oh, and while you're at it,
check out the author's other stories. I've read a lot of them--even the ones that are Mike/Kurt and Sue/Puck--yes, you read right: Sue/Puck.)
#16 → A SONG THAT MAKES YOU CRY
- Well, "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová is doing a pretty good job of making me sad. And "Beth"--the Kiss cover as heard on Glee--is very somber and emotion-inducing for me at the moment.
#17 → AN ART PIECE
-
I lovelovelove Endofmarch's pieces! Such talent.
(Click image for link to artist's website.)
#18 → WHATEVER TICKLES YOUR FANCY
- I want to make use of this space to shamelessly whore out a newly-posted fan fiction over at the
puckurt community.
There is hope, there is help by
eyesarmslove This story... God, where to begin? This story touches all of the emotional bases: I ricocheted from anger at Finn's asshatted behavior, to sorrow with the mentions of suicide, to beautiful, tearful joy with the utter acceptance and love that this story practically radiates with. Oh, and shirtless!leather!Puck. And Puck/Kurt. I don't have to say anything more to convince you, do I?
GO READ, AND IF YOU LOVED IT AS MUCH AS I DID (or more--impossible), REVIEW!!! :D
#19 → A TALENT OF YOURS
- I manage to procrastinate doing things I actually enjoy doing, like writing smut. P: It's not an enviable talent, I'll admit, but it's a talent I possess.
#20 → A HOBBY OF YOURS
- Um... I like to be spontaneously creative, which can entail one or more of several pastimes: painting, drawing, sculpting, art, music, writing, singing...
#21 → A RECIPE
- Want to make Chantilly cream? It's goooood... (:
CHANTILLY CREAM:
2 qt. heavy (whipping) cream
2 lbs 10x confectioner's sugar
1-2 T of vanilla extract
Using a whip attachment and a stand mixer, whip all of the above ingredients together, on a speed that doesn't make cream shoot out of your mixer (the mixer I used required Speed Two), until your cream forms something known as a
stiff peak.
You can use Chantilly cream for anything! Icing cakes, topping fresh fruit... the possibilities are endless!
#22 → A WEBSITE
-
We Heart It! #23 → A YOUTUBE VIDEO
- Because I love Friends and have a really strong urge to watch some episodes...
Joey and Ross Ahoy! :D #24 → WHATEVER TICKLES YOUR FANCY
- Just for the record, today (8th June) was the day I finally found my balls and tried making meringues for the second time ever, at home.
...I succeeded.
Thank you, Chef, for teaching me! I seriously love meringues, and now that I know what the hell I'm doing, I'll be a) saving my dad some serious cash--seriously, supermarkets, five fucking dollars for baked egg whites and sugar?--and b) getting fatter on food I shouldn't be eating. Ah well. Live life to the fullest (on a full, calorie-laden belly), right? :P
Just because I want to spread the joy that is meringue-making (and eating),
here's the recipe! #25 → YOUR DAY, IN GREAT DETAIL
- I woke up two and a half hours before I absolutely had to be conscious, courtesy of my stupid fucking sister getting a fucking piece of gum out of a plastic wrapper.
I spent those two and a half hours, plus a good ten-fifteen minutes more, working on my latest plot bunny.
I threw on whatever was convenient--my Invader Zim shirt with some nifty purple plaid shorts--and choked down a bowl of cereal before I told my dad I was ready to leave for school.
I opened the car door and was assaulted by a powerful, horrible stench, and I took a quick peek into the backseat only to see Scout (our--my stepmother's?--Boston Terrier), dozing off. He likes to go for car rides, and sometimes he'll refuse to come out after my dad takes my sister to school a little while before I go, because he doesn't want to miss out on another ride!
Went to school, took some notes for finals next week--in both English and Biology--and watched a sort of boring, sort of amusing lecture on the history of the English language.
Did double-gym, but during the second gym we had to go back indoors because of the rain. I wanted to stay outside and walk laps in the nice, cool weather, but alas, not allowed. ): So I lifted weights for a bit instead.
Sat in the guidance office for lunch, as usual, munching on my usual lunch of a granola bar with water. I had the unusual treat of a meringue or two, which I had baked the day before. :D Omnomnom.
...Geometry is kind of hazy. We just worked on a worksheet, but it's all a blur. Math isn't my best subject, but I get along well. Somehow.
Then, in shop, I fucking spent one and a half-two hours packaging one-pound boxes of butter cookies and setting up assortment platters for the shop. Then... I cleaned, as usual, and, also as usual, I felt like I was on a one-(wo)man mission to fight evil, laser-wielding Martians with nothing more than a sodden distowel and a bottle of Windex. (I do hate it when stubborn chocolate is stubborn, and you need to pry it off of surfaces with bench scrapers.)
Took some leftover butter cookies--along with a couple truffles--home for my grandma/all of us. Had some strawberries dipped in leftover, whipped cream-like meringue, followed by a grilled cheese-sauerkraut sandwich. (Weird craving, but whatevs.)
Had some coffee (topped with a meringue that sort of melted a bit to make delicious foamyness at the top) before dinner: cheeseburger, hot dog, and fries, with a side of cole slaw. (I gave most of it to the dogs... I always make myself overeat, but, forty pounds lighter, I'm trying to stop that habit.)
Kind of zenned out for a bit, then decided on taking a nice, long, relaxing bath, complete with my lovely scented oil perfume, ginger lotion, and Glee playlist.
Then I talked with my bestie, Mel, for a bit, and laughed so much I cried at
this YouTube video. I showed said YouTube video to my sister, and she showed me
this other YouTube video, which made me laugh, if only because she said it reminded her of me. (Thanks for that, Mia. :P)
Now... I'll be off to bed after I provide YouTube links and submit this modified entry. G'night!
