Classes for the semester

Aug 27, 2008 20:34

I've been to three of my five classes, and this semester should be freaking awesome. I've got sixteen units (three for each class and one extra for the 3 hours a week I need to volunteer for Ethics in Medicine).

I finally got in to Intro to Psych! I can finally start on my major! And the other four are philosophy classes. Upper division classes that technically I'm not allowed to attend but that no one has noticed so far.

Metaphysics is going to be awesome. The teacher started off the class saying that the material we're covering is probably going to be too difficult for any of us. And there are grad students in philosophy taking it. I'm really excited about this. I'm sick of being bored in class. Everyone in the class was at least two years older than me with way more experience with the subject. It's going to be awesome.

I'm really excited that classes have started up. Because I'm a nerd.

And I think I've got a photo shoot this weekend. Which is good. Because I'm a poor nerd.

Tomorrow I have Sex and Morality and on Mondays I'm going to have the philosophy of human rights. That class had six required books. All of them awesome.

And most of my classes are essay based. Except psych which is test based. Which is awesome because beginning psych is just gonna be review.

Can you tell I'm minoring in phil yet? Admittedly, my fellow classmates in Ethics in Medicine all seem to be pre-med people reluctant to take a philosophy class, but the teacher is the head of the department and seems really interesting. And the topics will all be relevant to life, so it's cool. Different than the totally abstract concepts we're working with in MEtaphysics.

No more stupid GE! But I'm still gonna try to transfer. I'm hoping for either Berkeley or Stanford. I'd rather stay in nor-cal. And that means college apps. I am not excited about those. How I wish it was all done through interview...

Also, I love my girlfriend. Just in case any of you were curious. You should all tell her to come move in with me. Or else.
