[Guy gives Regal a good look-over. He's enormous; tall, big shoulders...yes, he'll do nicely.]

Oh, you were? [Guy stops.

...glances around.] How long do you think they'll be?

[Shit. He's too old for the puppy-dog-eyes approach, he'd just look creepy. And he can't work his charm because he and Regal aren't close enough.

...right, damsel in distress approach. Sometimes that works if the person is nice enough.] I...I need your help.

[Well, that's different. Not what he was expecting, but Regal isn't the kind of guy to turn down a plea for help. So he'll lower his voice a bit for this next question out of respect for Guy's situation.]

[Guy sighs, scratching the back of his head and putting on his best sheepish voice.] A friend of mine, Anise, was on that ride earlier and she dropped her tokens into the water. When she tried to fish them out, the droids jumped her and dragged her off to detention for interfering with the ride. I want to get them back for her, but I think they'd notice if I was by myself. So...I was hoping I could get someone to play lookout for me.

In other words, you want me to fend off any droids who might try to stop you while you dive in to retrieve the tokens, which was why you chose me instead of anyone else nearby.

[He's on to you, Guy. Not that he particularly minds doing it, he just wants to make sure you know that he's not falling for the "playing lookout" excuse.]

[NOT QUITE. Because he does need a lookout.] Oh no. I don't have any delusions about you fending them off, I'd just like you to tell me when you see them coming so I can get a head start on my shameless escape.
