[Now that Regal has exhausted his healing abilities, carried a couple of people home and generally helped wherever he was needed, it's his turn to limp home, worn-out and more than a little dispirited (though he's trying his best not to show it). Feel free to run into him on his way back to House 27!]

[When Regal finally arrives at house #27, he'll undoubtedly find Gelda in the would-be sitting room (that is actually a spacious hallway with extra furniture in it). She fell asleep on the couch from exhaustion. What will Regal do?]

[What any good boyfriend would do, of course: carefully pick her up so he can carry her upstairs to bed. The couch may be a nice couch, but a bed is undoubtedly more comfortable for sleeping for any length of time. He's got enough strength left to get her up the stairs, and he's on his way to his own room to collapse anyway.]

[But Regal, won't it save time to carry her to your room instead? She wouldn't mind; she's out like a light. Though, when he picks Gelda up, she stirs slightly, leaning her head sideways to rest against his chest. Ahh, that's kind of comfy.]

[Well, given how tired he is, chances are they'll both end up in whichever room is closest. It's been a long couple of days for the both of them. As she turns her head to lean against him, however, the faintest hint of a smile crosses his lips-- losing Zelos like that only served to drive home how precious what he has is.]

[Long couple of days, no kidding. She's been running around helping with supplies, healing people and was casting magic on the battlefield too (too bad her mun was too late with posting to the log *c-cough*). At this point, it doesn't matter if she's in a bed or not. She'll sleep either way. A bed is more comfortable, though.]

[Bed it is, then. He'll take the stairs as carefully as possible to avoid waking her... only to find out that it took a lot more energy than he thought. At this point, he's going to get them both to the nearest bedroom and then just collapse on the bed as well.

As it just so happens, the nearest room is his. Surely she won't mind resting on his bed for a while?]

[Not at all, not at all. She hasn't woken up from the short walk up the stairs, so just drop her on the bed and she'll be fine.]

[Well, he's going to put her down, then pull back the covers so he can tuck her in. Dropping her on the bed would hardly be gentlemanly.

Once this is accomplished, he's going to remove his dirty, bloody shirt in favor of a clean one (he's surprised at how much effort it takes to remember simple motor skills like unbuttoning and buttoning), toss it somewhere in the corner to take care of later, and then (carefully) flop on the other side of the bed, on top of the covers.]

[Gelda, meanwhile, rolls over and curls up underneath those blankets. The bed is just so comfortable and something about it makes her feel more at ease. Maybe it's the lingering smell of Regal's cologne?]

[Good thing that scent still lingers, because Regal himself probably doesn't smell very pleasant at all right now. Blood and sweat do not an enticing combination make; he'd shower, but he's just plain too exhausted to do so right now.

... maybe he should check to make sure she isn't injured or anything.]

[Blood, sweat and cologne is a manly combo, though. Somewhat icky, but still manly. As long as it isn't so strong it'll cause nausea, it's fine.

He can check, but he wouldn't find anything. She's a healer, after all. Any injuries she received were immediately vanquished.]

[WE'LL SEE IF YOU'RE STILL SAYING THAT AFTER YOU SPEND A FEW HOURS SLEEPING NEXT TO IT, GELDA.

It's doubtful he has enough energy left to do anything about any wounds she might have anyway, so that's for the best. They're both in desperate need of sleep.]

[Hey, at least it doesn't smell as bad as that vile substance Regal created when he lost his ability to cook. Remember that, Regal? Fun times.

In need of sleep? Why, Gelda's already catching up on it. He'd be a wise man if he were to do the same thing right now. His bedmate can wake up to the horrible smell a few hours later, when she's no longer borderline comatosed.]

[Ugh, don't remind him. That's an experiment he'd really rather forget-- well, that and the one that ended with him turning into a light-frog.

His eyes are already sliding shut of their own accord as he yawns and curls up, making sure to leave her some room on the bed. Having her wake up and get the wrong idea would be a bad thing indeed. He's already been at the mercy of her fearsome broom-fu once.

He'll be joining you in dreamland now if you don't mind~]

[No objections here! And really, Regal, how many more wrong impressions would you be able to give off? She already knows about the handcuff fetish and she's cool with it. The only reason she resorted to broom-fu was because she thought he was a fat burglar.

She awakens a bit more than five hours later, slightly dazed. It takes her a few seconds to fully comprehend where she is and why her body feels like lead. A faint smile tugs at her lips when she turns her head to see Regal, but decides not to get up just yet for two reasons. The first being that she's still tired and the second being that she doesn't want to risk waking him. So instead, she scoots towards him just slightly and closes her eyes again to keep on napping.]

[Well, let's see: there were the handcuffs, the porno music, the light-frog, the whole "fat burglar" thing, the cooking disaster... yeah, it can't get that much worse. (Which, of course, means that the mun is now resolved to make it worse at some point in the future.)

There's really no risk of waking him; he's out like a light and not likely to wake up anytime soon. The battle took a lot out of him both physically and mentally, with Zelos' death hitting him particularly hard. Right now sleep is a chance to let himself just shut all that out and recover.

So while he might not wake, he's nice and warm and solid to curl up against if Gelda wants.]
