But wait! Watch the trailer!
WTF?
Is that Mrs. Grendel's mom seducing Beowulf? Rather than going RAWR I EAT YOU NOW WITH MY ACID RAWR?
and Unferth has like, half a dozen verses of plot, how the hell did they get Malkovich for that? Same goes for Wealhtheow and Mrs. Penn.
This movie looks approximately like the producers decided "hey! Beowulf is still popular with those wacky kids in school, let's make a movie of it! Someone get me the cliff notes!" And then, they like, read the back of the cliff notes. So either this is the worst trailer ever, or this movie will make me want to stab out my eyes.
