I know, I’ve been a crappy blogger lately. In my defense, first draft edits on my first novel (working title recently changed to With Strange Aeons, after a Lovecraft quote) are almost finished, and I’ve been working on various graphic designer projects. Until I get my groove back (did I ever have a groove?), have some fun things to check out on the internet.
The Fucking Weather never fails to make my morning. My town sometimes breaks it. I think it gets too cold here.
For those writer types hoping for publication and in need of a good dose of reality,
Diana Peterfreund, author of Rampant and the Secret Society Girl Series, recently posted on
writerly economics on her blog.
In case you missed it,
Maureen Johnson temporarily filled in for
John Green while he was on paternity leave from
Vlogbrothers. Three of her (five?) videos talked about the writing industry:
Writing As A Profession,
Dare To Suck, and
How To Get An Agent. She’??s adorable and hilarious and fun. (The latter may be resultant of the first two.)
Upcoming 2010 Debut Author
Kiersten White has a quirky and insightful
blog, wherein she often talks about the publishing industry. For example, her post on
well-rounded characters.
