Icon Doodad
darkmachines actually put this up aeons ago, but I've been too lazy/busy/stressed to actually get around to it. It's an icon meme, wherein I essentially talk about six icons someone else (in this case, Melissa) picked from my uploaded set. Which is sorta weird, but memes tend to be.
THE RULES:
1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee!
This is Ace and she will fuck blow your shit up. A snarky icon best suited for threatening kneecaps. Ace was the Seventh Doctor's second companion, an intelligent tomboy and a touch violent with her baseball bat and Nitro-9 explosives. With the show's cancellation, we never did see how Ace and the Doctor parted ways, but I like to think she became a Time Lady on Gallifrey.
My brainy/geeky/random icon. It also serves as two fandoms in one, as it is Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory dressed as Spock from Star Trek: The Original Series. Maybe if I wasn't so devoted to Doctor Who I'd have actual Star Trek icons, though then I'd have to represent all my favourite characters - and given my love spans four shows (TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager), that would be pretty impossible unless I bought more iconspace ...
Either my "pleasant surprise" icon or my "I have no idea what I'm saying so I'll make up bullshit" icon or my "Martha love ♥" icon. Not sure. I really didn't like much of series 3 of Doctor Who much, but Martha? I loved her arc. I love that she left on a bittersweet but not tragic note. She became so strong and so amazing. Plus? Freema Agyeman is gorgeous and always fun to look at. :D
Could be a facepalm icon, could be an "I'm so uncomfortable" icon, could be an "I'm laughing so hard I just snotted" icon. Karen Gillan and Matt Smith from Doctor Who Confidential! If I could hang out with them, I totally would. They are so much fun. ("Smoochy smoochy time!")
THE NINTH DOCTOR IS EPIC AND LONELY. GRR. RAR. ONCOMING STORM.
Sometimes the Ninth Doctor was too serious for his own good. And sometimes he was a quirky, impish character. Bit like the Seventh Doctor in that way, but without the manipulative streak (which Eleventh inherited instead). Either way, one of my favourite of the Doctor's faces.
Another nerdy/geeky icon, because I could never have too many. This should probably just be my default. Anyway, it's not a commonly-known thing but I love the Alice books to pieces. I almost wrote an Alice retelling. Instead I'm writing Transient Creature, which is heavily inspired rather than a blatant rip.
