Yuletart "Dear artist" - and Stargate Fan awards
First - it was such a lovely surprise (in a stressful and otherwise tiring couple of weeks) to find out I'd won at the Stargate Fan awards for my Regency AU painting and an overall artist award for SGA. Thank you to those who voted for my painting!
Second, things have been busy (stressful and tiring as noted above, too), so with great reluctance, I only signed up for one holiday art exchange. I'm in the middle of my SGA Bigbang painting, which is due in a couple of weeks. yuletart assignments are out this week, due at the end of November, which should be enough time. As usual I signed up to paint any fandom I knew - I like the challenge, but it can be a bit daunting, too. Hopefully I'll have a choice of several fandoms to choose from.
Yuletart is a multifandom art exchange, and I usually request a range of my smaller fannish loves (where there isn't lots of great art produced regularly).
My request was art from any of the following fandoms:
Angel, Dark Angel, Final Fantasy (X, XII), Good Omens, Star Trek (DS9), Torchwood, Vorkosigan Series, X-Files.
Dear anonymous artist, I hope you can find something you'd like to make art of among my requests. I'd really like to see a picture of my favourite character, either alone or with others from the cast. If you have difficulties with my chosen character, there are a few others I'd be very happy to see, instead, but please, I'd prefer the alternate options to be gen only (unless otherwise mentioned below).
I'd like to see my favourite character being competent, or kickass or generally awesome. I wouldn't object to a little emotional or physical comfort. I like flirting, UST, and romantic relationships (slash, or het), or close friendship and familial relationships. I also like AU's in the TV fandoms, historical backstory in Good Omens, and pictures of canon events in the game and book fandoms.
A few more fandom specific suggestions:
Angel (TV - I haven't read the comics)- Wes in action mode with his guns. Researching. Slash, ship or gen with Angel, Gunn, Illyria, Fred, Cordy. Alternatively, I'd be happy with a portrait of Illyria or Cordy, instead.
Dark Angel - I adore Alec, and would like to see his friendship with Max and with Joshua. A little emotional comfort, perhaps? Alec/Logan or Alec/Max would be cool, or just Alec being sneaky, clever or in action. Alternatively a portrait of Logan, or Max or Logan/Max.
Final Fantasy X. Lulu, Auron & Tidus are my preferred party, and I got a lot of enjoyment out of them kicking ass and taking names. Any combination of the 3 being awesome, or maybe just a quiet conversation on the road.
Final Fantasy XII - I adore Balthier, so anything with him would be awesome, but sky-pirate shenanigans with Fran (or Balthier/Fran), Balthier/Basch friendship or slash, flirting with Ashe, or on the road with the whole party. Alternatively just Fran, or Basch.
Good Omens - Crowley & Aziraphale or C/A, historical backstory would be awesome, or wing!art.
Star Trek DS9 - Bashir. I'd adore something from Our Man Bashir, the secret agent holodeck adventure. A sequel? (or just Garak, Kira or Sisko as their counterparts in that episode.) Alternatively Bashir and Garak in general or G/B, or Bashir and O'Brien on one of their holodeck adventures (involving anyone else from the cast you care).
Torchwood - Owen, being competent, or in a H/C scenario. Stuck in an AU universe or an alien planet, perhaps. Alternatively, I love a portrait of Jack, and wouldn't object to a crossover with Dr Who for a little flirting with the Doctor or Rose, Martha or Donna.
Vorkosigan Series. I love Ivan, and would enjoy seeing him involved (reluctantly) in more Miles related shenanigans. Alternatively just Miles. An illustration from the books would be awesome (I reread A Civil Campaign and Cetaganda most often, but like all of them).
XFiles. Mulder - investigating mysterious events. Arguing or flirting with Scully. H/C. Mulder/Krycek UST sparked antagonism. or Mulder/Skinner. Alternatively, just something with Scully.
