In my LJ postings, emails, and conversations, I come off as a conservative to liberals, and a liberal to conservatives.
About two thirds of the time I support Republican candidates, but I must say I am excited to support...
Jerry Brown, Democrat, for California Governor.
A few must-see YouTube videos for any Californian:

1) he knows the system, what works, and what didn't
2) he has had a variety of government experiences: Gov, Sec of State, AG, and mayor
3) he practiced what he preached (selling the gov mansion, driving the old Plymouth)
4) he pushed clean tech innovation and job creation in his tenure as governor
5) as a "liberal" he can bring leftist interests to the table and make them compromise on pensions, benefits, wages
6) he refrains from trite sloganeering and posturing
In his words, he's "someone with insider's knowledge but an outsider's mind."
Brilliant.
