Vigilante 30/?

Okay. So I know it's been forever since I updated this fic, but I was sorta blocked on it. This chapter is short, but at least now I pretty much know where I want to take it. Enjoy!

Chapter 30

Olivia drank earnestly, swallowing everything she could reach.

Casey moaned and relaxed her white-knuckled grip on the edge of the desk.

Liz took a moment to compose herself, then leaned down and kissed Casey's lips, the gentlest of caresses, a raging contrast to her demeanor thus far. "You two make a wonderful couple," she said softly, kissing Casey's cheek, then her temple, then the top of her head. "Please don't bring your personal lives to work again, I don't think I could take it..."

Olivia slowly got to her feet with a low, rich laugh, wrapping her arms around Liz from behind and rubbing her belly through her blouse. The detective's chin rested in the crook of Liz's neck and she nuzzled softly. "We'll give you at least a week to recover," she promised.

Casey's eyes bugged out, but she stayed bent over the desk, getting the feeling that there was a little 'dominance powwow' going on behind her and she'd best keep out of it.

Liz shivered in Olivia's arms and shook her head. "I don't have it in me," she confessed half-heartedly. "If anyone but me catches you at it again, I won't be stopping the suspensions."

When Olivia didn't say anything, Casey just had to jump in. She craned her neck to see behind her as well as she could from her current position, and asked quietly, "why, Liz?" Not that she was eager to have her ass beat again, because she wasn't, but she was definitely curious about the change in Liz's tune.

Liz sighed and ran a hand through her hair, turning her head to kiss Olivia lightly before extricating herself from the detective's grip. "As fun and exhilarating as that was, and by no means am I trying to imply that I didn't enjoy it as much as I seemed to, I just can't do it again, and you'll have to accept that without any supporting statements."

"We're not in the courtroom, Liz," Casey said gently.

"No dear, we're not. We're completely out of my league. Thank you both, for allowing me to impose on your relationship and play with you. If you can find all your clothes, which is unlikely, then good luck getting dressed and please be more discrete in the future. You're very lucky I was with your bosses when they showed up here. It was just a fluke."

Casey slowly nodded, then furrowed her brows. "The Jenkins case?" she said suddenly. "I hope that's being pled out soon, because there are no lesbian prostitutes anywhere near that case."

Olivia raised an eyebrow. "What's the case?"

Liz snorted. "An old man flashing a couple people in the park."

"Can I get up?" Casey then asked irritably, pissed that she was still bent over the desk and they were both standing.

"No," Olivia and Liz barked at the same time.

"All right ladies, I should get back to my own office," Liz said after a minute of comfortable silence.

Liv nodded in understanding, then quirked a brow at her. "Why were Branch and Cragen coming down here in the first place?"

"Branch was alerted of a long-distance call from this office, and Cragen was with him because the other detectives said you two were together in here." And with that, Liz smiled, gave Casey one last little smack on the butt, and slipped from the room.

Casey yelped in surprise and started to stand up when she heard the door close behind Liz.

Olivia smacked her ass again, pressing her back down to the desk. "Excuse me, did I say you could get up?" she asked amusedly.

"Uh, no?" Casey guessed, wincing at the smack.

Liv went around looking for her clothes, and actually managed to find everything. She stood in front of the desk and got dressed, folding her arms over her chest and staring at Casey. "Now you may get up and get dressed."

Casey carefully pushed to her feet, her knees a bit shaky as she wandered around collecting the pieces of her outfit and putting them back on. Once she was dressed, she turned to Olivia, crossing her arms as well. "It's not fair, you didn't get spanked at all," she said, her voice somewhere between indignance and a whine.

"Excuse me, I got my ass paddled in front of the entire squad plus Cragen this morning," Olivia reminded her, slightly incredulous.

"Oh. Right. Yeah. That. It was ho-- I mean it was... no, I can't lie. It was hot." At the alarmingly hostile look she received from her girlfriend, she quickly closed the distance between them and changed the subject, resting her hands lightly on Liv's waist. "Livvy?" she whispered sweetly, nuzzling her cheek against her lover's.

Olivia fought back her smirk and allowed the closeness. "Yes?"

"When you tried to get me out of trouble... when you tried to take all the blame so Liz wouldn't punish me?" She paused, biting her lip, nuzzling even closer to her detective. "I just want you to know that... that meant so much to me. I can't even describe how much it meant."

Liv 'awwww-ed' internally and hugged Casey tight. "I love you Case."

Casey's heart warmed and she hugged back just as tight. "I love you too Liv."

"There's something I want to talk to you about," Liv then said, her voice much more hesitant. She had no idea how Casey would react.

"Is something wrong?" Casey asked, fear creeping into her eyes as she pulled back to look at her lover.

"No, no," Olivia assured her quickly, sucking in a slow breath and rubbing her hand over the back of her neck, trying to find a good way to broach the subject. There really wasn't one, so she just plunged in. "I was thinking of, you know, I don't want Sloane shipped off to some foster family when she's settled so well with me, and I know she doesn't want to go either, and I was thinking of maybe--"

Casey cut her off by throwing her arms around Liv's neck and kissing her, hard. "You want to adopt her?" she questioned, her cheeks flushed and her green eyes shining bright.

"You uh, you think it's a good idea?" Liv asked, surprised and pleased at Casey's reaction.

"I think you're amazing, Olivia Benson," Casey replied, kissing her again. "And I think you two are a perfect match. You've done so much for her already, and she's done the world for you."

"Well, you're part of the package too, right?" the detective asked, her wide brown eyes filled with something Casey had never seen before - insecurity.

"I hope so," Casey laughed, smothering her love with kisses.

Olivia breathed a heavy sigh of relief that she didn't realize she'd been holding in. Part of her had wondered if by adopting Sloane, she'd be losing Casey. A weight lifted off her shoulders as she picked Casey up and kissed her with all the love she felt at that moment. "Will you come with me to pick her up from school today, and we can tell her?"

Casey squealed. Yes, an actual squeal.

Liv laughed, setting her back on her feet. "I'll take that as a yes."
