My Off-Season Distraction

May 23, 2003 10:56

It is with great pleasure that I announce my latest TV love - Dr. Luka Kovac, the intense, mussy-haired Croatian on 'ER'. I'd been resisting, harboring a sneaking suspicion that Visnjic would be leaving the show soon, but that Congo episode just tied me up and down and into his dirty, sweaty submission. So anyway, I'm breaking up with Dr. Lewis, effective immediately; henceforth, it is all. about. Luka.

(The "Why Can't the World Be Exactly As I Want It?" Part): I know he's a little old, but Visnjic = Bruce Wayne. Come on - you can see it, right? God, why can't Lex's plane just crash somewhere in Africa, where Luka can find him and nurse him back to health with his jagged whispers and deep, searching eyes? Then chicklet_girl would write me crossover fic and despite the absence of both my true loves, I'd be happy all summer. Why God, huh? Why must You punish me?

In non-Luka news, Chicklet and I saw 'Poolhall Junkies' the other night. We were lucky, I think it was closing the next day. How can Rod Steiger's last film only show for *one* week in the most neighborhood of neighborhood-theaters in a huge metro area such as this? Anyway - Michael was adorable as ever. In his distressed jeans and tailored jacket and Bocephus (not kidding) t-shirt, not to mention the Pumas (!)...*sigh*. The lead guy, however, just grated on me. I did not find him talented as an actor. Michael should have had that role. Then again, he wouldn't have had the cute little brother thing going for him, so maybe not.

Hope everyone has a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend! Drive safe, y'alls.
