[Jerky Review] Ralph's Mexican Bandits Beef Jerky

Dec 29, 2011 08:10

I'm starting a jerky review since I got a ton of it. Seriously, check this out:

Ralph's Mexican Bandits Beef Jerky

Description: Large slabs of beef jerky, but they are very thin. I was able to fold the pieces a few times in order to break them into smaller pieces.

Scores:
Tenderness: How dry or soft the jerky is. This is a scale of 1 to 5, five being a steak, one being a cracking piece of aged hardwood. This was a 1.
Flavor: How did it taste? This is a combination of the meat itself and any marinade/seasoning. This one was a 4. It was very spicy, as advertised, and I enjoyed the flavor.
Overall: 2 I started out enjoying it for the flavor, but the pieces were so thin and ended up having large chunks of tasteless fat in them. By halfway through the package, I wasn't really into it. This was good, since Panda, the office dog defeated my 'wooden box' security system and finished it for me overnight. Coincidentally, his water dish was empty when we came in this morning.
