Watched Manny hit #500 last night in Baltimore. Mostly red-clad crowd of course went wild. When he next took the outfield we continued the standing ovation and he waved to us and the crowd went wilder. It was a really nice thing to see.
Sat in front of a very funny Os fan who compared coming to a Os/Sox game at Camden to "coming home to 15 teenages with their feet up on your coffee table." At the beginning of the game he complained about the 80% fair weather Sox fans, and my mom and I whipped our heads around and said "Dude, we've been fans for 32 and 60 years." and he said "Well thank you for being part of the 20%." And we chatted througout the game.
