So, the Festival closed for the night, we sat around and chatted for a hour or two, went to dinner, then drove home. It's now about 8:15pm. If that statement doesn't make you say "WTF?", let me explain that the Festival is open until 7pm. Except today. They closed at 3pm. Yes, 3pm. Due to the weather. This has never happened in the memory of anyone I know, which encompasses most of the years this Festival has been running. The weird thing is that the weather was not extraordinarily bad, it simply rained. But, it also rained all day yesterday and most of the night, which apparently accumulated into a serious electrical issue in some parts of the fair and left one of the access roads completely impassable. I have no idea what they are doing with all the people in the campground, I have to imagine it is largely flooded. This also meant I lost $30-40 of paycheck, but at least I'm not slogging through the mud in the dark to get home.
