Come Back to Me

I wrote this poem/ song today in thoughts of a friend lost (not to death, just lost). What do you think? I don't share my writing much, but every once in awhile, it's nice to see what others think!

Hey you there
Do you remember my face?
Can you think of my name?
Do you remember everything?
The pain we shared
Tears we cried
Our laughter bubbling over
Do it all over again

As the rain falls
It washes all away
As memories fade
What will we be?
You and me
Once a pair
Come back to me

Was this just a space in your life
Write it off, do it over
Free to scratch it away
Do you remember me
What once was
What never will happen again
It's gone
Erased like a mistake

Wish for the flower to bloom again
In darkness it falls
But in the sunlight
