I went to the lake this weekend. It was good for the soul. I got some semi-decent sleep which is a lot better than the no sleep I have been getting at home. Fire was good. Didn't intend on drinking at all, but last night, we were bored and couldn't find a fourth for Euchre. So King's Cup it was. We had so much fun! I swear, I could play that game ALL the time without beer!
Today I pick up Taylor. (For those of you who are confused about all this baby talk...) Taylor is my friend Casey's two year old daughter. Casey and I went to high school together. Casey went back to Florida for a week and couldn't take her daughter, so she is staying with me and some family she's got in Liverpool and Oswego. I LOVE this child. I'm so excited to have her. She was in Oswego alllll last week and in Liverpool over the weekend. I can't wait to see her!
I made contact with someone real at Ludden. They have been giving me the runaround. But its getting down to the wire, and they need answers. (so do I) so I emailed a friend who works there and asked if they had hired anyone. He said no. Position still unfilled. GOOD NEWS. So I told him to offer me as a long term substitute with permanent possibilities. He said Ludden did that a few times last year, so he's going to mention it today. I really don't care what happens. I just friggen wanna know!
So I rearranged my room last week. sounds stupid right? But it made all the difference in the world. I felt so out of place there before. But now there is like a distinct separation between me and the rest of the world. I feel like I have my own space. A little niche where I belong. I still think its funny when people knock on my door though. would you ever knock on the door to the living room? No. So why would we knock on the door to the family room?
Other than that, not much going on. I've got Taylor this week, Casey comes back this weekend, then after that, finding a job. P.S. -- Did I mention that if I get this Ludden job, school starts like tomorrow? how am I gonna babysit AND teach? don't worry, I am probably not getting the job anyway. that's a good thing, right?
Peace out!
