Flirting with fermentation

I'm off to the kitchen to attempt my first batch of sauerkraut. Wish me luck.

ETA: Decided the cabbage had been hanging around the produce drawer a little too long to make a good candidate for my first fermentation attempt. I think I'll get a fresher one to work with.
