So, although Pirate and I had planned to end our
Langstenacht ride at the
Wave Organ, by the time 5:45 AM rolled around, we were sitting in the Peet's on Chestnut, dripping, having spent the previous six hours riding around in the wind and the rain, and the prospect of heading back out into the inclement weather to wait for the sun to rise and not be visible through the clouds... well, we realized that if we headed back toward the CalTrans bike shuttle, we'd still be up at sunrise and would still have been up all night and gee, that would be a lot warmer, wouldn't it?
But we still wanted to go to the Wave Organ. So on Monday we headed over, got lunch at
Greens to Go, and rode out
past the yacht club to the Wave Organ. Sat there a while, ate our sandwiches, drank our Fat Tires, fed some seagulls... noticed a guy pointing a camera at us, okay, whatever... and then got into a conversation with the guy.
Turns out he's
a photographer doing a project on San Francisco portals, and would we be willing to talk to him on camera? Sure, why not? (Getting Pirate to shut up is more of a challenge than getting him to talk...)
And not half an hour ago, Pirate got an email from him to let him know the video was ready. Check it out. (LiveJournal doesn't like embedding Vimeo, so click through.)
